Research
My research interests are in the amalgamation of sociological, political, and cultural aspects in literature, how society is portrayed and how it affects literature. More clearly, I am specifically interested in power structures and power dynamics, both in the literary text and the creation and status of literature/books.
My dissertation project centers on the female minority Bildungsroman of the 1990s. My aim is to look at the use of the Bildungsroman genre to reimagine the American identity during the 1990s "post"-era.

I am a member of SAAS (Swedish Association for American Studies) and SSAWW (Society for the Study of American Women Writers).
